Our STORY 2 HEARTS 1 MISSION
Pastors James & Michelle Ford have served together in ministry for over 39 years. First as Youth Pastors of “The New Life Assemblies of God Church under the leadership of overseers Charles and Yvonne Mims from 1986-1990. In the year of 1990 the Fords shifted their energies to the Abundant Life Teaching Center under the pastorate of Pastors James and Yohannah Watson in the expanding suburb of Harvey, Illinois.
Whereas for the next seventeen years they diligently served as Co-Youth Pastors, Marriage Ministry Directors, Administrative Secretary (Michelle), and Outreach Coordinator (James). In the year 2007, the Lord led them to birth a new and exciting Fellowship entitled “The Word Made Flesh Ministries”! The ministry focuses on addressing spiritual and practical needs; often touching faith, family, and personal growth.
Pastor James and Michelle have been married for nearly 43 years. They are the proud parents of 4 sons, three of which are now serving in the ministry. The eldest Eldridge, serves as Pastor of "Gem Ministries, a thriving church in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago, IL. The second eldest Darian, aspires to take up the mantle of his father’s legacy of being “The Storyteller, (Motivation by Inspiration). The third youngest Mycale, is being groomed as an Executive Pastor, to work alongside his father to help complete the vision that the Lord has given. The youngest Aaron, serves as church sound engineer, musician and inspirational speaker under the leadership of Bishop Dan Willis of the Lighthouse Church in Alsip, IL. Bishop Dan is also Overseer and Counselor to “The Word Made Flesh Ministries.
Pastors James and Michelle are also the proud grandparents of 8 beautiful, smart and creative grandchildren.
